The Club of Broken Fasts

My general impression was it was well written. I thought the Shakespearean speak added a nice twist and some humor. The actors ( one was missing and director subbed for him) had good timing, worked well together and seemed to enjoy their roles. The premise was catchy although a little unclear as to why they disliked the principle as much as they did. The staging was inventive with creative props (the lockers). I was in third row and heard most of the dialogue except for sub and principle Ted Dane.... full review

A loving tribute to the movie that inspired it, “The Club of Broken Fasts” features an impeccable cast making these well-known characters their own and having a fun time doing it. Clever staging and a banger Bardcore soundtrack and you’ve got yourself a joyful show.... full review

DYNAMIC casting and writing! Loved every single moment of this wonderful show! The actors were IMPECCABLE with their timing and character representations! For me it was extremely nostalgic and heartfelt. I felt like I was on set for the filming of the new movie version of this film! Wow wow wow what a treat! You can tell every detail was given loving and cheeky attention. The cast is great, shoutout to the actor who played Bender, because he was able to balance being a teenaged jerk and being charming the way I think we all thought only Judd Nelson could. Truly, it's no small thing to take on characters that are so indelibly linked to their originators and make them your own. Every actor brought it! It's as much an homage to John Hughes as it is to Shakespearean antics, and the cast and direction were deft with both. Laughs and cheers from the audience throughout!
