reservoir dolls: the whole bloody affair

An exciting journey exploring the tropes of the female characters in Quentin Tarantino's expansive cinematic universe. Lani takes us on a wildly entertaining ride though her own adaptation of some of Tarantino's most iconic characters, even Mikey Madison's cameo in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood(one of my favorite parts of the show, sit in the front row if you want to be in the splash zone). This is an extremely fun show that is action packed throughout and sits at a perfect 30 minutes. "Reservoir Dolls" rewrites the narrative and makes an incredibly interesting commentary on the through line of all these iconic fem-fatales... An unrealistic stoical nature and overtly male catered sensuality in the face of danger and violence as seen thro... full review

I can't write enough good things about this show. Lani is a POWERHOUSE, she shines in this show. She plays characters effortlessly, and she has an encyclopedic knowledge of Quinton Tarantino. I loved every minute of the show. I see why it did so well last year, and I am so thankful it did, because now it's bigger and better!... full review

Lani's show is a middle finger to so many of the reductive tropes we've seen in Tarantino's films, while also a love letter to the aspects of his filmmaking that we do like. Because life and art are complicated! ... full review

Phenomenally creative and superbly acted, the multiple characters Ms. Harms plays each illuminate a character trait, mostly character flaws, of Tarantino. Would recommend to any Tarantino fan or hater. ... full review

The show does a fantastic job exploring the turbulent world of a woman stuck in a Tarantino film. It jumps between various characters from his films, all played brilliantly by Lani Harms. Part of what makes the show so fun is how it feels like an affectionate portrayal of Tarantino's characters, while also acknowledging some of their absurdities. ... full review

She's at it again! Actress/playwright Lani Harms is back at this year's fringe with a longer, more developed solo piece highlighting the rather unfortunate world of Tarantino's female characters. While bringing back certain favorites from her last show (i.e., The Bride and Mia Wallace), she expands their storylines to the delight of the audience! I mean, who wouldn't want to see Beatrix Kiddo from the Kill Bill franchise at a parent-teacher conference? Moreover, Harms introduces audiences to a few new characters, (i.e., The Waitress and Oscar-Winner, Mikey Madison). The writing is fresh, the creativity is high, and the wigs are bountiful. ... full review
