This is truly a gem of the 2013 festival. Rodeo Town is one of those plays that stays with you after you leave the theater. This cast works together as a beautiful ensemble to take the audience on a ride full of unexpected dark turns. Eric Cire gives an incredible performance as Garth and is the driving force that keeps the story moving. Riveting and thought provoking this is definitely a show worth catching this year!... full review

Fantastic performances with an unexpected dark twist at the end. Loved the development of the story & characters along the way. Kept you laughing while at the same time at the edge of your seat with anticipation as the truth behind this dark rodeo town is eerily unveiled... ... full review

What do you want? Seriously....what is it that you want? One character asks this question in Rodeo Town. And it made me ask my self what I wanted out of Theatre. Do you want something gritty, truthful, messy, and strangely familial? Well then, to borrow a phrase, this is the show for you. I sat in the second row, which I maintain was a damn good choice; and as the sweat, blood, and cornbread poured off stage, I was brought right into the middle of a southern war zone between four characters....some are at war with themselves, all are at war with each other. Each performance is dripping with dedication. More than a few times, the characters on stage get frighteningly physical...so much so I was squirming. In fact, during the show I saw, ... full review

Terrific cast. You can feel the"close-up" scenes. Very intimate and intense. With just four actors, it was a very full and powerful piece.... full review

The acting was outstanding. Story wise, you knew you should be tense but you didn't know why. I loved that. A lot of questions were left unanswered but that just gives us as an audience leeway to come up with our own solutions. Very Pinter. Good stuff. ... full review

Brilliant writing, dynamic and forceful acting. I relished the growing uneasiness in the pit of my stomach through to the end. Such a powerful piece! Well done!... full review

I had heard alot of buzz about this show so I had to include it in my schedule. It was not at all what I expected. Written by Graham Bowlin and wonderfully directed by Cameron Strittmatter, this is a dark tale, part western and part horror, about three cowboys left in a little town in the middle of nowhere - Rodeo Town. The action is taunt and the horror is just under the surface, threatening to break forth into your worst nightmare. I was most impressed with Harry Beer as Lonnie, the drunk with a heart of gold, and Eric Cire as Garth, the leader of this group of survivors. Check out Rodeo Town - it's worth the trip.... full review

The cast of Rodeo Town is superb. I can't say enough about how well cast this show is. Harry Beer, Dusty Bayer, Dustin Gooch and Eric Cire own their roles. The writing is taut and filled with surprises. This is a story that will stay with you for a long time. Two days later and I can't stop thinking about it. I hope the show gets extended so that more folks will have a chance to see it.... full review

Performances so strong, the stage couldn't handle it. Seriously, they left a square-foot smoking hole in the middle of the stage! Hell yeah! Bravo, guys. Can't wait to see more from this exciting new group!... full review

An excellent cast, well chosen, performing this alternatively hilarious and deceptively morbid piece, executes with precision their clever and well-crafted dialogue, surrounded and supported by elegant lighting, sound, and set design. I encourage you to see it, particularly if you have darkly humorous sensibilities, or if excellent performances can trump narrative troubles for your money's-worth. Not being particularly attuned to the styles of modern theatre, I'll readily admit that I may have missed something here. I enjoy and often appreciate experimental theater. I love a good mystery. I like a fish-out-of-water story. I love a good suspense thriller. I enjoy the occasional bromance. I like seeing people pushed to the brink. I ... full review
