Best musical of the fringe! The writing is awesome and so so funny, great jokes, I dont think I stopped giggling once the show started I was just so delighted by what I was seeing. The music! Omg the music was incredible, such a strong soundtrack and the songs are so catchy. The acting is awesome—the fun the actors are having on stage is so contagious. Wow wow wow. This musical was so well executed! I'm not a video game person so I wasn't sure I would be able to relate to the story, but this show is about following your dreams and finding your people which anyone can relate to. The songs were so catchy and the dialogue was hilarious, I really think this show has legs, and I sincerely hope someone gives them money to produce it on a larger scale. One Up is a very cleanly directed, highly polished musical! The 1980s world building is on point. James Beardsley and Erik Olson were particularly brilliant as they shine in comedic supporting roles with tremendous heart.
