Enjoyable tunes. Lots of vocal and instrumental talent on display. (Was that an Appalachian dulcimer back there?) I appreciated the revue-style narrative wherein the singers became characters. The welcoming and friendly spirit of the showcase created a nice atmosphere.
What I didn't like
The soprano sometimes distracted from the otherwise baritone-heavy ensemble. It might be advantageous to put her in a lower register so as to help her blend more.
My overall impression
An earnest showcase of beloved sea chanties with IRL instrumentation. Great singing and good-hearted fun.
