He pulled it off y'all. For a show with content that could have easily leaned it another way, Hal manages to turn "tragedy" into comedic GOLD. It's not a trauma play. It's not therapy on stage. It's a hard, honest, and HILARIOUS look at the man that raised him. Thanks for sharing this with us Hal.

As someone with my own Jersey dad, I was expecting to identify a lot with this show (and in some small ways, I did.) But I gotta say, my dad has nothing on Hal's dad! This was a wild, high energy comedic ride. Really enjoyed Hal's character work, and that the show ended on a nice positive note. It truly feels like Hal could have endless material when talking about his family....

Hal Rudnick is an incredible performer and a consummate entertainer. Watching him is always a delight. This show where tells deeply personal stories that are equal parts incredibly sad, traumatizing, and absurd is revelatory and disarming. But Hal tells the tale with such joy and gusto that you can’t help but laugh along with him as he shares this part of himself....

Fucking hilarious. I was dying the entire time, doubled over in laughter. Plus, when Hal did impressions of his dad, I felt like I could see him for real in that theater. Such an interesting story....
