Ok lemme just say that I think Ms Grace Edwards was my favorite. But that aside, man did this have me in my feels by the end. Sidney did such a great job embodying all the different Edwards women and I could see each and everyone of them without having actually seen them. And it allowed me to reflect on the matriarchs in my family who I loved so dearly shaped the woman I am today. It’s such a testament that Sidney was able to take their stories and essence and honor them with her creativity and storytelling. What could be more telling of a life well-lived. ...

Ms. Edwards is one of the most feel good shows of the Fringe this year. From the moment she steps on stage, Sidney Edwards has you absolutely captivated. As far as I’m concerned, Sidney Edwards BELONGS on the stage and her talents are used to great lengths as she takes us on a heartfelt journey to meet Ms. Edwards, Ms. Edwards, Ms. Edwards, Ms. Edwards and Ms. Edwards, all distinctly, beautifully and SOLEY brought to life by Sidney herself.
Written by Sidney Edwards and Byron Coolie, Ms. Edwards is a vibrant, unabashed celebration of the unsung heroes in our lives, the ones who shape us in ways we may never fully understand, the ones who remind us of where we came from and help us figure out where we’re going. Our teachers. And not just ...

Pay attention, please, class is in session for the masterful Ms. Edwards! This solo show is an absolute triumph for writer/performer Sidney Edwards and her co-writer/director, Byron Coolie! Their A+ efforts collide in a fun-loving tribute to both of her Grandmothers (Carolyn and Grace), her Mother (Terry), and her Aunt (Coletta). Even 8-year old Sidney appears to start the show on her school bus.
All the relatives that Sidney portrays in this 50-minute show happen to work at the same school in various capacities. These women share important life lessons with Sidney all while highlighting the importance of family, love, and celebrating the good times.
As Sidney finishes her report on interviewing her family, the show reaches its touchi...

This wonderful one-woman show, is a beautiful love letter to a unique family dynamic and to the educators that shape our childhood. Sidney Edwards is a versatile, triple threat, powerhouse creative! She shines on stage and keeps the audience engaged, sharing her family’s story. Byron Coolie’s direction - use of space, technology, lighting cues, and audio cues brought the audience effortlessness into this world/school! The show kept my 5 year old daughter engaged! We laughed, teared up, and danced in our seats! ...

Just an absolutely beautiful show with a ton of heart and character(s). Sidney is dynamic, funny, warm, charismatic, and incredibly engaging as every single Ms. Edwards. It was a beautiful love letter to the women in her life who taught her everything. I fell in love with each character, who not only taught Sydney valuable lessons, but gave the audience lots to think about for themselves. It was heartfelt, honest, and it made me tear up at the end. Truly an amazing show!...
