Sydney's performance is incredible and the show is really well structured, great direction by Byron Coolie. Sydney is an excellent listener and her use of the audience and our reactions added so much to the show. Ms. Edwards is a show about acknowledging we're able to stand where we stand because of the women who came before us, because of the stories and journeys of those who shaped us and made us who we are and it was beautiful to see Sydney honoring that. ... full review

Sidney Edwards is a phenom--she writes, acts, sings all so beautifully. I sat in awe of the raw talent she exuded as she portrayed, nay, embodied different character after character. She gives 100% from start to finish, so I was rapt every minute Sidney was on stage.... full review

So many solo shows about family focus on trauma, misfortune, tough times, etc. Sidney has crafted a truly wonderful tribute to the many Ms. Edwards in her life, one that's a unique blend of hilarious, warm, touching, and genuine. Her portrayals of the women in her family *as they are*, good and bad, strict and sweet, uplifting and challenging, is a warm, sweet, and funny tribute to their influence on her as a radiant, charismatic, and gifted artist. Bravo!... full review

beautiful, heartfelt, and incredibly hilarious. I felt myself engaged every second the play. Sidney Edwards did such a lovely job at captivating the audience and demanding her presence onstage. When she laughed, I laughed, when she shared a heartfelt story, I could feel it in my bones. Such a lovely job and my hats off to the director Bryon Coolie for executing such a vision!... full review

A heartwarming show that reminded me of all the role models in my life. This show will make you call your grandma to tell her you love her! If you need a pick me up in these trying times: this is the show that will do it. I walked out of the theatre feeling optimistic, grateful for the ones I love and inspired by all the amazing women Sidney brought to the stage to shared with us.... full review

Sidney’s telling of the women in her life that shaped her was so heart warming and the highlight of my week. I laughed, I cried, I got to have more insight on a family dynamic I’m unfamiliar with, and I learned a lot too. But mostly, I laughed! Sidney’s depictions of the matriarchs of her family are so fun and well thought out. The little inflections, mannerisms, and style choices made for such big, memorable, and absolutely hilarious characters. 10/10 Would see again! Will see again! And I can’t wait! ... full review
