A truly connected and absurd performance. I felt like he looked into each of our eyes 15 times with sweet yet unhinged desire. The format of the show was so purely simple and so effective. I applaud him for being able to play with us and what we were giving him so well. He encouraged a playful heckling and knew how to get a laugh out of it every time, we all touched pinkies as an entire audience and there was a selfie taken onstage twice of him with a girl drinking from his water, all impromptu moments just between him and our audience. Cam is so present with the audience's every move. I haven't seen a show where the performer is so quick to abandon whatever they were in the middle of to honor what the audience demands of them at that very instant. And despite how much power he gives them, he remains completely in control. This is pure, playful, delightful clowning. My only advise to the audience is to be bold. Be playful. There are not enough seats in this house for everyone who needs to see this show. This is period one of the best clown shows I have ever seen. This tiny, well dressed middle European man is playing with the most simple game back and forth and Cam's attentiveness and openness to address what's happening in the room is electrifying. I feel like I can say more but really it hits that point where a one person show starts feeling like it's just a full play with one actor. It's so stupid, it's so camp, it really is laid out in this insanely charming way.... full review

Wow wow wow! A feat in trusting the bit, trusting the audience, trusting the moment, trusting the clown. A much needed laughter bellyache from top to bottom of the show! I just saw Just To Be Close To You and I can’t stop smiling. This one-man clown show was absolutely hilarious, moving, and full of heart. From the very first moment, he had me in the palm of his hand. With a perfect blend of comedy, vulnerability, and pure theatrical magic, I was truly wooed. He played with the audience so naturally, weaving laughter and tenderness into every moment. There was real love poured into this show. You could feel it. Every bit was crafted with care, and yet it felt spontaneous and alive. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, completely swept up in the joy of it all. It’s rare to see a performance that makes you laugh this hard while also making your heart swell. I loved every minute of it. ENCORE.... full review
