It was really a great show. It's a considerable thought to think how much Andrea had to overcome to make her life make sense, especially considering an extremely difficult upbringing and dark past is a testament to the human spirit. This is a must see.... full review

Andrea is brave, charming, wise, and hilarious. Her story offers a new view on overexposed topics because of her unique personal experience and her enchanting personality. Ultimately she sheds light on forgiveness, for the self and for those who have hurt us the most. She is a survivor and a fighter, yet has a way of fluffing off horrific imagery in such a darkly comedic way, she epitomizes a distinct Hollywood humility: vital to our collective evolution, and rarely exposed in such a raw earnest way. She has so much to offer, I could have happily witnessed a second act. I left feeling inspired.... full review

I’ve been a fan of Andrea’s stand-up for years, catching her at some of the best comedy spots in LA. But last night at the premiere of her one-woman show “Adventures of a Slutty Girl with an Eating Disorder” at the Broadwater Theatre—she took it to a whole new level. This show is a must-watch. Hilarious, raw, and deeply human. With her signature dark humor and undeniable beauty, Andrea proves that even through pain and chaos, we can all find a second chance—and laugh through it. Actress Sandra Santiago ... full review

A surprising, uplifting, genuine and raw story that will make you cry, sigh, laugh and cry while you are laughing. Very well delivered and inspiring. Andrea did a great job with her story telling and the way she takes you through her journey can only be described as brilliant and life-changing. This play is a burst of emotions that would make you laugh hysterically one minute and keep you in a total pogniant or shocking or hopeful silence the next. Her performance is exceptional and her story-telling a masterpiece. Definately will go see it again. ... full review

"A Slutty Girl With An Eating Disorder" left a lasting impact on me. It was an emotional rollercoaster. It was hilarious one moment and deeply moving the next. Through Andrea Abbate’s raw but truthful storytelling, I learned about her complex past, including addiction, eating disorders, and the powerful theme of losing your sense of self to the people and struggles that shape you. I laughed, I cried, and most unexpectedly, I saw my own life reflected in hers. It reminded me that it's never too late to forgive yourself. I walked out of that theater still buzzing and discussing its themes for days afterward. It was a reminder to embrace your younger self with all the compassion you bring towards everything else in your life and that everything... full review
