Andrea Abbate is a revelation. “Adventures of a Slutty Girl with an Eating Disorder” is a special kind of entertainment: it’s hilarious punchline after punchline after punchline that builds a story. And in between the out-loud laughs, are some of the most painful moments of family life and adulthood imaginable. I was riveted from start to finish by Andrea’s cunning writing and deft performance. 10 out of 10. A show that should be on all Fringers’ lists....

Adventures of a Slutty Girl with an Eating Disorder” is a triumphant blend of comedy and catharsis. Andrea Abbate fearlessly lays bare her past, transforming trauma into both provocation and punchlines. It’s rare to see a one-woman show that’s this funny and emotionally profound. I was completely absorbed from the first beat to the final note. A must-see that’s darkly hilarious, deeply human, and entirely unforgettable. 10/10—go see it....

Andrea is an incredibly captivating storyteller, yes even at 11:55pm. She gave the room immense energy, made us feel comfortable as she took us along for the ride which was equally as hilarious as it was gut-wrenching. I am in deep awe of her ability to share the traumas in her life in a way that sheds light while simultaneously making light of what she endured and how it's shaped her journey. Her performance was incredibly raw, honest, and playfully engaging. I love her and would 10000% see this again and anything she does!!!...

Adventures of a Slutty Girl With an Eating Disorder is raw, hilarious, and unapologetically honest. Andrea Abbate lays it all out—sex, drugs, shame, survival—with the confidence that comes from having lived through the mess and come out the other side knowing exactly who you are... all the while keeping up laughing / making it look effortless. So good....

What makes this show work so well is that Andrea is a gem of a human being. At the core of the story is a message of healing and a genuine longing to help others feel more comfortable in their own skin. While the overall message is uplifting, that’s not to say that every moment of comedy is light-hearted. The stories that Andrea tells go into mind bogglingly dark places, yet somehow Andrea keeps you laughing even through the darkest moments. She clearly has a ton of experience working a crowd and the show is a lovely blend of standup comedy and solo theater....

Andrea is a fantastic storyteller—I was completely immersed in her journey. Everything flowed so naturally and held my attention from start to finish. The topic was heavy, and it takes real talent to turn something so personal and painful into comedy—and she absolutely nailed it. I loved the show and genuinely wanted to give her a big hug afterward....
