This all-femme cast is electrifyingly hilarious as they bring to life one of history’s lesser known but larger-than-life personas, Pauline Bonaparte. Shannon Corbeil penned a tight and precision-sharp script and is alternately charming and fierce as the lead. The supporting cast matched her energy, and the use of audience participation for Signore Canova and several other roles kept the show exciting. Historical commentary by Pauline’s servant provided a welcome educational narrative and lent gravity to the show’s message of gender equity. A brilliantly fun night of theater!
