You are invited to the workshop presentation of NAPOLEON’S WH*RE SISTER, a new female-driven comedy exploring unfair beauty standards, women’s rights, and female pleasure.
The year is 1804. Napoleon Bonaparte has just been crowned Emperor of France and he would really like his younger sister to behave like a good girl. Pauline has other ideas. When her husband commissions a renowned sculptor to create a virginal statue of Pauline, she shocks the world by instead posing buck ass naked.
This play takes place at the party where the statue is unveiled.
At it’s heart, this is the story of men in power telling a woman what to do with her own body — and that woman tells them to f*** right off.
OURALL-FEMALECASTLIST Deborah Lee Smith as Prince Camillo Borghese, Pauline’s simpleton husband Sarah J. Eagen as Helewise, faithful servant Shannon Corbeil, Pauline Bonaparte, exhibitionist and rebel Shelley Regner as Emperor Napoleon himself Grace Stockdale will grace us with her presence as Borghese and Helewise
Note: This play contains brief, simulated, non-sexual nudity. Content Warnings: Loss of a child, (cardboard) musket use, mature language, sexism (something which our play adamantly opposes).
Tickets are available at the door on a first-come-first-serve basis.
