What I liked
Beautiful writing, not afraid to confront the ugliest parts of people and seemingly “innocent” conversations. Good acting, loved the framing device of our narrator guiding us through.
What I didn't like
Hard to hear actors at times in such a big space.
My overall impression
An important piece about an experience that is not usually portrayed, “My Tiger” tells the story of Didi, a mixed-race boy growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Unflinching, honest, and surprisingly funny at times, “My Tiger” is a slice of life that isn’t here to provide answers, but rather questions to think about.
