A very intense, emotional-driven show. Themes that might be deeply disturbing but important to bring to the stage. Haunting, sinister, and uncomfortable at times, but you become interested in these character's lives. Twists that will have audiences gripping their seats!... full review

This production takes on incredibly complex and emotionally charged subject matter and presents it with care, nuance, and strong artistic vision. Centered on the lives of individuals shaped by a traumatic past, the play explores themes of identity, survival, and the search for belonging. It was a thought-provoking and bold piece of theatre that left a lasting impression.... full review

(Disclaimer: I have yet to speak to the playwright so I might just be talking out of my ass.) “Does one have the right to be brutal towards others if that’s the way they want to live? And how much of that “wanting” do we have any control over?” Those were the central questions I took away from Ryan Lisman’s thought-provoking new play AND WHAT OF THE CHILDREN… The answer to the first question might seem like a no-brainer, “No! Of course, not!” But if the answer is so obvious, why does that very “sadism in the name of Freedom” attitude seem so prevalent with a large part of Americans right now? So really I felt play was a metaphor for the fractured state of our country. Lisman gives us three siblings. One representing reason and evolu... full review

This will be one of the darker shows you'll see at this year's Fringe, but it is compelling all the same. Some excellent performances and grim writing illuminate some truly disturbing content. I left feeling unsettled in a very good way.... full review

A thriller that takes the audience on darker and darker turns. The actors commanded their characters wonderfully. The use of the ensemble as a Greek chorus was a fantastic touch. I could see this script being presented on stage or on screen.... full review

"And What of the Children" is a masterfully unsettling piece of theatre—dark, intense, and beautifully staged. The ensemble cast works hard to create a fluid, haunting narrative that lingers long after the final blackout. Ryan Lisman’s writing is precise and chilling. ... full review

My overall impression was that this play put you in difficult scenarios that made you wonder what would you do if you were in the characters shoes. Loved the acting. Great cast. The pacing of the play was just right. A couple times it was difficult to hear a couple of lines but overall the sound in the theater was just right. ... full review

What a ride. The whole time I am thinking there is just no way.... welp, THERE IS A WAY. What a wildly dark show that really stays on your brain even long after it is over. The looming part two has me intrigued and I can't lie, I'd be there opening night for part two. ... full review
