GIRL BLOOD (a period piece)

Girl blood is a titan of a show about some of the most tender and important moments of girlhood. I have not seen as complete of a show as this in a long time. From the direction, to the acting, to the writing, to the design, nothing was out of place. The free flowing vignettes chronicling the growth of these girls breaks hearts and captures the soul. I cannot emphasize how's satisfying the dialogue feels, everything is understood and said in the only way it can, no more no less. I ask smitten by the details. The way the stage becomes a round. Such a great show! Powerful, well-written, well-acted, top craftsmanship. Moving, nuanced, relatable, and brought me back to girlhood, made me think about motherhood and I'm not even a mom (yet!). A sweet coming of age story that tackles so many important topics all within a 90 minute run time. Funny and Lighthearted while also taking the issues its dealing with seriously. The set looked amazing and it was really cool to see how The Zanni Theatrics team utilized every one of their members to put on a high quality show. The actors worked well together and had great chemistry. Each one of their relationships and their dynamics provided interesting conflicts and perspectives. The direction was also great! It was really interesting how they were able to show the passing of time.
