A haunting, beautiful tale about sororal bonds and the beyond. Also… an interesting play to watch on Father's Day, lol. Intense material with well-timed comedic relief throughout. As someone who believes the unrelenting horrors are only tolerable with a side of crazed laughter, I appreciate writers and directors who get it too. “She's aaaaaaa sexually deviant back massager” As for the cast… Katie Burke: blew me away on every level. I love productions that are written, produced, aaaand acted (!!) by an individual. Her physicality, especially in certain scenes left me wide-eyed with my jaw on the floor. Just so good. It takes a high level of organizational skills and pure grit to birth an idea into the physical realm and stay actively... full review

A haunting, moving, puzzle-box of a play, with excellent performances, writing, and striking visuals. The Aquarian will keep you on your toes as you follow the unfolding storylines, gathering clues along the way to its shocking conclusion. Sometimes deeply scary, sometimes refreshingly funny, the acting and writing is so tight, you'll be on the edge of your seat the whole way. ... full review

The show had this very special relationship between sisters that went back and forth in time which gave their such a deep bond in ways that the sisters couldn't comprehend in the present and the twist for that deep bond was so unique and very special. I also thought it was very important to show the portrayal of relationships between women when all they have is each other. ... full review

WOW! This show strikes at the heart! It took me a minute to get a handle on the proceedings but when I did the whole experience was immensely rewarding!! The WHOLE cast was truly sublime, delivering their ever-shifting roles with clarity, passion, and poise.. I must also commend the director Christian Haines as well… Dear god, what a difficult piece to wrangle on the stage - so much jumping around in time, a dozen transitions to various locations - it really was a horror film he had to deliver unto the Zephyr theatre - and he knocked it out of the park. But I would be woefully remiss if I didn’t single out Katie Burke, the playwright who also plays our protagonist with so much devastating power, so much fiery demonic abandon…it’s enough to l... full review

I usually abstain from the scary stuff, but this play was good enough to get me out of my comfort zone, and I'm so glad I went! The casting was perfect - I laughed, I cried, I gasped! The direction and sound/lighting design was also so impressive for a Fringe show! Can't believe they were able to do SO much with so little, and in such a short amount of time -- the writing was great and kept me engaged all 75 minutes -- a feat! ... full review
