About the Project

World Premiere! Now playing through June 22nd at the Hollywood Fringe Festival!

In 1911 the world’s most famous painting was stolen from the Louvre, feared missing forever. Skulking in Paris for instigating the Spanish-American War, Hearst yellow journalist Karl Decker sets out to redeem his tarnished reputation by cracking the Mona Lisa case. Along the way there’s singing, can-can, butting heads with France’s Sherlock Holmes Police Inspector Louis Lepine, and uncovering the beginnings of love and redemption with an aspiring Italian artist coincidentally named Lisa. Experience irresistibly catchy songs from Multi-GRAMMY nominated Recording Artist David Arkenstone along with book/lyrics by Fringe Veteran Steven Vlasak, and story/music/lyrics by Musical Theatre Legend Wayne Moore, and with additional dialogue and lyrics by Director Christopher Strand.

Find out what happens when these larger-than-life personalities converge to illuminate Paris, the City of Light:

KARL DECKER – Jaded American reporter looking for his next big break, and for love (Chad Anderson)

LISA FLORENTINA – Idealistic aspiring painter from Florence (Jordan Mullins)

MISTINGUETT – Feisty queen of the Moulin Rouge (Alison Sinclair)

ANDRE SALIS – Host of the bohemian hothouse Le Chat Noir (Christopher Strand)

PABLO PICASSO – Outspoken Spanish painter, and possible anarchist (Oliver Rotunno)

LOUIS LEPINE – Authoritarian Prefect of Police (Michael Gabiano)

VINCENZO PERUGGIA – Mandolin playing Italian craftsman (Ross Brooks)

EDUARDO VALFIERNO – A mysterious Argentine aristocrat and art dealer (Valerian Ruminski)
