Brady Stanley is a public 8th grade English teacher. It’s a tough year for his students, because it always is a tough year at that age. That’s 8th grade.
But: one thing this teacher believes in is the power of a story to demonstrate, through entertainment, the exact lessons his students ignore in favor of their phones.
Taking classical stories from well known bodies of folklore, Mr. Stanley shares the stories that solved the problems presented by his very real students, in the hopes that personal, middle-form storytelling might make a comeback in an era when brevity, special effects, and screens dominate.
