a midsummer night's dream

I enjoyed the rendition of this classic Shakespearean comedy very much. The modernized spin to an already rambunctious tale, under the clever and witty direction of Colleen Hammond and Sandra Benton, was fun and amusing to witness. I thought the cast was a filled with a talented group of (mostly) young individuals whose love and appreciation for the theater was ever present in their energy and contact-stage presence. It was clear that the performers all had different backgrounds of training but, as an ensemble were able to showcase their understanding of this work in a fun, and easily digestible way. Fantastic job!... full review

This show was a joy to watch. The actors had such an amazing grasp on the text which was impressive for a cast so young. You could tell the cast was having a blast because their energy was full of joy and elation to be on stage. It was funny, well paced, and simply joyful.... full review

A fast-paced, fever-dream telling of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," this production was able to hit all of the story in just over an hour. Using the original language, the show was clear and the story flowed very nicely even though most of the show had to be clipped to get it down to an hour.... full review

The writer, producer, and director should be lauded for the herculean task of telling the entirety of A Midsummer Night's Dream in approximately 75 minutes. I saw the preview, so the pace and storytelling were still a bit erratic around the edges but the huge cast all got a moment to shine in this bare-bones production.... full review
