What I liked
The way she tackles difficult subjects with humor, the characters she brings to life on stage, her CROWD WORK (including audience involvement if you are so lucky!), her gorgeous singing voice, engaging our sense of smell, the list goes on. She was born for the stage, specifically to share emotional stories with such delicate care and intimacy that you forget you are in a crowd because it feels she is talking just to you.
What I didn't like
Saw a preview night and sure any audio adjustments will be made for the rest of the run!
My overall impression
Thrilled to see Samantha Bowling back at Fringe with another deeply moving one woman show about her experiences as an indigenous queer woman, our relationship to the land, wealth disparity and so much more. I found myself laughing out loud and shedding a tear by the end. Heartfelt, hilarious and poignant, this is a must see show at this year’s Fringe!
