Sphere of Fixed Stars in the Heaves was beautiful. it was a wonderful lifelong journey in the pursuit and avoidance of love and connection. It was funny, and sharp and moving and pure and complicated. Vexing, occasionally romantic and a pure expression of connection and hope. I loved this show. I laughed. I cried (a lot). I was fully charmed by the performances and moved by the story of hope, connection, feelings of freedom, and being untethered yet, still, through it all, seeing connection. And who doesn’t love opening with Repliant jokes that land a SOLID emotional callback? High-fives to all the nerds and tech/performances to provide such an impactful moment.... full review

I don’t even know how to put into words how much this play hit me. I cried I laughed I sobbed and then I was emotionally wrecked the rest of the evening. An incredible human experience, to watch these two people go from strangers, to lovers to strangers to more. ... full review

What a beautiful show. I didn’t know where it was going and I loved being taken along for the ride. The acting was INCREDIBLE and helped me get invested in these two strangers quickly. A wonderful play that left me wanting more of Elodies story. ... full review

J. Holtham is one of the best contemporary relationship/smart dialogue/painfully insightful romance writers around. And his sci-fi twists give the plot a lift so deftly you don’t even know they’re coming until you’re fully invested in human story. So so good.
