Amanda Kuo’s cigarette-toting princess immediately got my attention. Her chaotic descent is both hilarious and heartfelt. Skylar Siben’s script takes us into the mind of a struggling artist while also undercutting the Disney-fication of fiction without becoming preachy.
What I didn't like
It’d be interesting to see this stretched out to 45 min.
My overall impression
Party Princess takes us on a chaotically hilarious journey of a woman just trying to do her job, entertain the children. Amanda Kuo is engaging as our heroine as she navigates demanding children, angry parents, and worst of all, CAPITALISM.
