Initially, this was the only show I was seeing as part of Hollywood Fringe. However, I loved the show so much that it encouraged me to see over ten more shows across two weekends. Only a few left, but I still love Devon’s as one of the best. She also came out to meet everyone after and was super sweet....

Umm, this chick is so cool. The show was nostalgic, self-aware, and tragic. Comedy= tragedy + time. Pop Star embodies this saying. Devon had me laughing, shrieking, gasping, giggling, and of (course cringing) from the moment she stepped on stage. Pop star is tightly produced and rehearsed. It’s clear that a lot of care and thought was put into the structure of the show. Every moment is filled with a joke, new song, a music video or SOMETHING. There was never a dull moment. Not to mention that the story is absolutely insane. Each anecdote more ridiculous than the last. Devon recounts her misadventures with grace, humility, and a sharp sense of humor. This was just a delight to watch and I have found myself talking to people about it all day! One of the best you will see at fringe....

A hilarious, appropriately cringe inducing and completely heartfelt retelling of the of Devon's experience as a little girl whose dreams of being a performer were taken advantage of at every opportunity. The fact that she was able to take these experiences and turn it into something so joyful to share with audiences is absolutely incredible!...
