I love this show. George has poured his brilliant clowning and character work into an exciting and hilarious evolution story. Thank goodness for George's ambition with this one because he pulls off a terrific journey....

A really thoughtful exploration of the experience of being alive. This one has stuck with me for a few days now… a particular sequence toward the end is a moving reflection of the modern human life, and illustrates George’s whole point that we are indeed soft animals at our core. I want to give this man and his prosthetic penis a hug...

This show is a fave. George is an absolute impersonation king... the Worm King. It immediately starts from a place of such pure silliness and curiosity. As the audience, it's so easy to want to play and participate in all the games. Take my trinkets! Let me launch my fireball! And then sadly and suddenly (like with all humanity...??) ... it must end :(...

Please see this show. George is truly a master of his craft and will have you giggling, leaning forward and sighing in delightfully heavy acceptance of your own human existence. You’ll leave feeling capable and seen, and perhaps a little braver as you walk through the rest of your day. ...

I saw Soft Animal at Fringe last year and I loved it then. But oh my goodness how it's grown. Soft Animal is a wonderful survey of the entire history of life on earth, and yet somehow it's deeply personal. George is an impeccable clown and comedian. They make me laugh with their LAUGH! George's character work, silly sounds, and shapeshifting demonstrate such skill and deftness with an ability to flow as the show is shaped by the audience....

George expertly weaves humor and heart taking us on a journey of the "every living thing" experience while also showing us a deeply personal side of the artist. George is a savant at voice and character and if I may, his ability of STILLNESS at the top, my lord. Bravo!...

I cried about this show on the way home. George is a clown philosopher and guides you on such a deep, playful, heartbreaking, and time-bending journey. Like going to Jurassic World with your best friends, cry-laughing and then cry-bonding. The show is the deeply connecting!...

Soft Animal is such a clever show! It was impressive how they can fit the whole history of humanity in 60 minutes! It was a reflection on human evolution and an existential crisis in a solo show! All of it, while wildly entertaining! ...
