Julia Melim is originally from Brazil andis known as the host for CBS’ lifestyle show “City Guide” and red carpet host for Hollywood TV, where she interviewed Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Robert De Niro, George Clooney, among others. She produced a Netflix series with Sylvester Stallone and launched the wellness podcast Feed Your Soul Mixtape. Julia was invited to the late night talk show “Programa do Jô,” equivalent to Jimmy Kimmel’s show in the US, and also appeared in a comedy sketch at the South African hit show “Late Nite with Loyiso Gola,” which was nominated for best comedy series at the International Emmy Awards. Julia made her Off-Broadway debut in the play “Relationships, an Almost Romantic Comedy,” where she collaborated with writer and director Leandro Muniz. Julia created an original show writing about her personal experience as a Brazilian comedian in the US, which was a sold out sensation at The Stand in New York City and won the audience award for her material. She became part of the stand-up comedy group RIONIGHTLIVE, performing her stand-up comedy show in English and Portuguese. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York, and sketch and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade, from the creators of SNL. She does standup at comedy clubs in LA, NY and in Brazil.
