Kayla Franco KILLED it with the SFX Makeup on this show! The gashes and wounds were very believable and executed backstage with remarkable speed.
What I didn't like
Take or leave this, just an idea! I would have loved to see a messy breakup on stage embodied through a dramatic fight between two individuals, each wielding their own weapons.
My overall impression
Heart Held at Knife Point explores young love through a clever metaphor. Audiences watch the protagonist struggle to decide how vulnerable and open to be in her pursuit of romance, with the stakes heightened beyond our standard emotional bruising to real physical harm.
