The Show

How do you navigate love when wounding is inevitable? For Micah, this is literally true. To break-up with someone, you must stab them… or slice them, or burn them, or shoot them… so long as they bleed. Micah pursues her first college romances while trying to keep her heart (and body) in one piece. The play is a blood-soaked cautionary tale that explores (literally) messy relationship dynamics, the inherent vulnerability of trust, and the struggle for emotional self-preservation when everyone’s trying to take a chunk out of you. At times funny, the show remains intimate and earnest as Micah wrestles with the lasting wounds of love and heartbreak.

The Venue

Heart Held is very lucky to be hosted at the beautiful Broadwater Mainstage! The Broadwater is a major Fringe hub, hosting four separate performance spaces in the building, as well as the Broadwater Plunge, a hopping bar where you’re likely to meet artists and patrons from all across the festival. With so much happening in the same place, make sure you’ve got the right theater! The entrance for the Mainstage is on Lilian Way!

Parking isn’t easy in the area, and it’s gonna be busy all festival long, so we recommend ridesharing, or, if you plan to drive, approach from the South and arrive EARLY!

It is festival policy that shows start ON TIME. Please give yourself ample time to park and check in at the box office.
