My overall impression
Do you just want to watch another formulaic, playing it safe rom-com with no “there there”? Then this will not be the show for you. But if you want to hop on a rollercoaster of unexpected twists that will have you laughing out loud, crying and maybe even keeling over from delightful revulsion, then this is the show for you! This wonderfully intimate cast of characters will make you feel, think and feel again, all while thrilling you with some of the best body horror you will ever see on stage. For a show literally dripping in blood and oozing with brilliantly outrageous metaphor, Heart Held at Knife Point is surprisingly and warningly grounded by its endearing heroes and its bitterly cruel villains. This show will rip you open and stitch you back up just in time for curtain call. You would be a bloody fool to miss it.
