Heart Held at Knife Point truly captivated me and made me feel like I was transported straight into a wild new and frightening metaphor of the pain of love. I found myself pondering this universe's lore long after the final blood splattered and having conversations with people who've seen the show about what emotional wounds count as a physical injuries or what makes someone have one weapon or another or what it means to abandon your weapon. What does it mean to be dating someone holding a gun when all you have is a taser? Where are people's shields are they just too young to realize they can craft solid boundaries instead of just slicing and stabbing? I could imagine a whole wild anime built around this premise with seasons of wild thick lor...

A fantastic, innovative, and moving show. Heart Held does an exceptional job of showcasing the world it creates as it offers the perfect amount of information such that the audience can understand the setting and scenes, but also take away their own inferences as nothing is ever too rigidly defined. The show accomplishes this feat through incredible casting and engaging special effects.
To begin with the cast, the most glowing praise I can give is how remarkably in sync they are. The way they build off of each other and communicate as much with their body actions and facial expressions as they do through dialogue is stunning. This unspoken element works especially well when combined with the visceral nature of the breathtaking special ef...

Thought-provoking and clever, writer Eliran Sternin captured the vulnerability in trying to find connection when you have no idea if the other person will literally stab you in the heart and the incredible bravery it takes to keep on trying even when you are literally bleeding on the floor. With so many Fringe shows to choose from, be sure to make time to see this one. You won’t want to miss it....

Heart Held at Knife Point was a beautiful and heart-wrenching journey, engrossing from start to finish. I laughed, I scoffed, I gasped, I was touched. The characters are well written, and well acted, in such a way that you’re like “ugh, I KNOW that guy. Or ten of those guys.” Or you watch Micah, our main protagonist, make messy choices that make you say “wow… I have been that girl. Trust me, DON’T DO IT GIRL.” It felt deeply evocative and reflective of a phase of life that many of us go through, and the metaphor of weapons and wounds captures the experience powerfully. Forget relationship baggage… how’s your festering, seeping wound? ...

What a phenomenal, hilarious, and harrowing show. From the very first scene the show is an enthralling blend of humor and honesty, remaining impressively grounded and true-to-life amidst it's metaphorical world. We gasped, we laughed, we wanted to enact our own violence on fictional characters written a little too realistically for comfort. Altogether a fantastic Fringe experience not to be missed....
