The Transpiring makes for a killer evening! A fun twist on a coming out story. The hip-hop was really fun and kept the story moving with a good rhythm. Spencer Frankeberger did a great job bringing joy to the theatre making this show is pure fun. Veronica Carey Matthews brought her heart to this and it shows. Through all the fun, the puns, blood, rhymes, gags, and Harry Potter there is a powerful heartfelt story that everyone can enjoy. ... full review

Such an amazing show to watch! The Transpiring takes a very heavy topic, and makes it light, campy, and fun. It's very rare that you can find a show that makes you laugh, think, and feel, all at the same time. This entire cast does it in superb fashion. From start to finish, there isn't one dull moment in this production -- and a brilliant production it is! You can tell that a lot of work went into this piece, and it definitely paid off. What I love most about the HFF is the opportunity it provides for artists to create and try out new works. Like the characters in the play, Transpiring is in the process of figuring out who it is and how to say it. And I love getting to be along for the ride as Veronica and company find the core message.
