Dr. James Bryant is tops in the field of forensic criminology. But when a single fluke step pushes him through a time tunnel to the year 1888, he finds himself at the murder scene of Jack the Ripper’s first victim. Gripped by the possibility of catching the original serial killer, Bryant works tirelessly to identify the unknown murderer before he can complete his gruesome agenda. Challenged by the two women in his life: a Whitechapel sex worker in 1888 and his brilliant, driven, transgender assistant in 2024, Bryant is forced to confront his own benevolently patriarchal tendencies, while racing against time to save the four remaining victims.
Can he make the world safer by literally dwelling in the past? Only time will tell.
