The Rabbit Queen was a well-crafted musical depicting an odd historical event, where a woman fooled much of England into thinking she had given birth to rabbits. The songs and choreography were great, the cast had good chemistry, and everyone was a strong singer....

From the Les Miz-like opening to the rousing curtain call, The Rabbit Queen captivated me. The entire cast is so in sync with one another and truly giving their magnificent all to the show. Major kudos to the Rabbit Queen and the Prince, amazingly talented....

Fun, period-piece musical based on a true story with a talented cast having one large ROMP on stage?!?! Sign me up, please! I knew no one involved with The Rabbit Queen and certainly enjoyed my evening while going on this WEIRD (let's be honest) journey of not-all-together-shiny protagonist, Mary Toft. It's just not every day you see a woman birthin' rabbits and getting away with it! The idea of the town getting all their information about life's events from FACEBOARD equalled pure GENIUS and HILARITY!! ...

Trapped in the standards of "millennial feminism", Rabbit Queen swings and misses with the point it's trying to make - but manages to have moments of fun along the way. ...

Honestly it didn’t do much for me. The cast was fantastic they all did a really great job. However the script didn’t really make much sense. I felt like several messages the show wanted to spread ended up contradicting themselves in the end. I didn’t really enjoy the music, most of it sounded very ‘samey’ although the actual singing was well done. I also found it odd that every single antagonist character was queer-coded. It seemed like an off choice and if it wasn’t a specific choice that feels uncomfortable as well. I also feel like a few of the antagonist characters could have been consolidated into one character. Again, great cast though (the doctor actor was especially funny and enjoyable to watch). ...

THE RABBIT QUEEN asks “what would Tina Landau’s Monty Python Feminist Farce” look like?
The answer is a shocking amount of fun.
I won’t spoil the surprises in the story, but if my girlfriend’s REPEATED gasps of shock over the 90 min show are any indication, this will completely disarm and delight you.
Catchy tunes, lyrical barbs, huge bold performances.
A Fringe standout!!...

WOW! Such a tremendous effort to stage a large ensemble original musical for the HFF! Director Joanna Syiek brought together a talented cast to tell this tale of Mary Taft and her efforts to go down in 'herstory'. So much has been put into the staging of this musical - IMPRESSIVE! Highly recommend - Be sure to meet the Rabbit Queen....

A charming 90 minute romp packed with maternal misadventures, queer masculine energy, easily distracted villagers, and comical ensemble numbers. Come for the unique premise, stay for the spirited cast of characters!...
