What I liked
This show is funny, clever, pretentious yet genuine, and surprisingly sympathetic while also pointing out the HUGELY PROBLEMATIC NATURE OF MOST CHILDREN’S STORIES. HOLY SHIT HAS NO ONE ELSE NOTICED THIS?!
I mean, I love Shel Silverstein, but I always thought The Giving Tree was genuinely fucked up, and I’m so glad someone else finally called it out!
