If you had to explain the reasons why our world is the way it is to an alien, what would you say? How would you make sure they survived in this brutal late-capitalist patriarchy where the goalposts constantly seem always to be moving just out of reach? Meeting #7 takes on this monumental and absurd task, with a refreshing burst of dance, humor, and beautiful projections....

Wearable solutions to hostile architecture
The show starts tongue in cheek, but the teeth bite down by the mid point, and concludes with a desire to heal.
If “imagination is key” to finding solutions to the big problems, as Kahane suggests, then this production is a locksmith of thought on the human condition. Smart satire, smart sweat suits (I want one!), smart use of multimedia, smart artist! Solid show! Go see! ...

Meeting #7 is a one of a kind, immersive, multimedia experience with crowd participation AND a stretch break. There is no fourth wall here - the audience is just a part of the show as Annie. Although the mood starts out fun and whimsical, this show tackles some pretty heavy subject matter. Dancing in front of gigantic, beautiful projections, Annie paints a frightening picture of where America could be headed. Meeting #7 is a wake-up call for all of us who think we're doing our part as residents of the planet earth. The wake-up call is clear: do better! The hope that Annie offers here is that we are actually capable of it....

I thought the show gave an overall educational view of the realities we face currently on earth, tied up into a fun, educational, and entertaining story. I appreciate that it is a one-woman show, and Annie kept the audience fully engaged, sometimes even making them part of the dialogue.
