Ten Toes Down for this *beautiful* performance that reads differently if you do or don't know the full background of the Essex disaster. (I did know the history.)
If you *don't* know the history, it's a fun show.
If you *do* know the history, it's a fun kinda emotionally devastating show that will make you (ok maybe just Me) quietly cry in your seat...even tho it wasn't quite what I I thought I was going to see? It was still fabulous.
Either way? It works!...

An excellent, spooky glimpse into a family dynamic where conflict exists, but not at the expense of love and empathy. Balancing that is a delicacy not often seen. Gorgeous performances and excellent story....

Mike Blaha is like the guy in your friend group, or your favorite uncle, who's easy going and shares fun tales about his life without being going on and on or sounding like he's bragging, so you like to hang around him and listen....

This is a delightful and honest exploration of a person bravely claiming the Being they are despite the expectations of the Being they "should" be. Diaz rides that roller coaster of emotions with confidence and command of presence. So much packed into 1/2-hour! "This one goes to 11."...

This is a bravely glorious In These Times extrapolation and excoriation of what we as a society and planet are facing in the future in part due to unbridled capitalism. This is a *very* layered show - sledgehammer in one hand, gentle empathy in the other....

An absolutely delightful, very much audience interactive, fun experience helping Goody get the townsfolk - you - to agree that she should commit suicide by being burned at the stake. (This is not a spoiler if you've seen her fab promo poster....and I'm beginning to understand that some clown shows have a *very* dark unspoken undertone.) Love it!...

O.M.G. I had no idea what modern clowning involves, and I have been Changed walking out of this show in tears - some tears from laughter, the others from out of the blue unexpected emotional gut punch. Do NOT sleep on this one! Go see it! NOTE: If, like me, Scary Clown Makeup is a Thing? Trust Moi that this show doesn't have that element....

Roz is a captivating performer and *knows* how to own a stage. This slice-of-life from her...life...was hysterical, moving and speaks to those who aren't even looking for Black people. Great, great experience!...

A deeply heartfelt overview of the enslaved man turned abolitionist rescuer whose true story of bravery and resilience has been lost to the minstrel fiction of Uncle Tom's Cabin. This is how history should be taught....
