Lustily Ever After is exactly the kind of joyful, unapologetic theater that the Fringe exists to champion. A sex-positive parody musical inspired by romance novels and powered by a soundtrack steeped in 90s pop nostalgia, the show dives headfirst into bodice-ripping fantasy and emerges as one of the most entertaining new musicals of the festival.
Rather than simply mocking the romance genre, Lustily Ever After lovingly embraces its tropes (brooding heroes, surprises, impossibly sculpted torsos...

Daddy Issues is an intimate, vulnerable, and often hilarious one man show that wears its heart on its sleeve. Structured around a series of therapy sessions, writer, director, and performer Spencer excavates the origins and effects of his self-diagnosed "daddy issues", a lifelong attraction to older men. What unfolds is less a comedy about sexual preference than a deeply personal coming-of-age story delayed by circumstance.
While rooted in a distinctly queer experience, the awkward thrill of d...

This female-fronted, jukebox 90s show brings together the girl group, a'cappella harmonies of PITCH PERFECT with the concert-like staging of SIX for a feel-good show that hits all the right notes. Emily Clark and Pam Eberhardt are vocal powerhouses worth the ticket alone. In a time when 90s songs exploring feminist rage, mental health, and girlhood are more relevant than ever, this show is a welcomed relief for those of us wondering, to quote 4 Non Blondes, what's going on?...

A fun and funny tongue-in-cheek show that lives (and dies) in the popular world of true crime podcasts. The catchy tunes and playful energy of lead Marcelina Chavira balance the macabre (or is it macab-RAY?) world, skewering the follower-obsessed hosts behind the horror podcast craze while honoring the beats of a classic slasher mystery. ...

A powerful, cathartic look at facing your worst enemy - yourself. Using an ever-present roommate to represent the insecurities and negative thoughts that hold us back, Angst personifies our deafening inner voices of self-doubt. Deftly directed by Casey Buxton-Dean and expertly handled in the hands of Spencer Weitzel, this show is an emotionally raw, painfully relatable experience of facing your demons during the creative process and what, if anything, is left of you when they're gone. ...

Another excellent Unknown Artists show! This one knocks it out of the park with it's well paced and structured script, terrific ensemble and excellent balance of humor, heart and heaviness. Definitely has that sitcom energy with such a colorful cast of characters learning how to navigate the highs and lows of life together!...

I absolutely LOVED this show! From the moment you are greeted with the sounds of crashing waves and a 16 foot hand painted Titanic, you're in for an epic adventure. My face hurt from laughing by the end! Total Point Break Live energy except Mallie does it ALL! A hilarious, impressive, inventive and truly wild performance not to be missed! This has to run past Fringe so I can bring all my friends back! BRAVO!...

Ahoy lovers of timeless stories of adventure, love and friendship told through dulcet harmonies by a charming, colorful cast, you have found your show! This was such a warm, welcoming musical experience - from the opening announcement, I felt like I was boarding a Disney ride and was charmed until disembarking the 'ship'. Spencer is delightful as our seafaring guide, loved when he (and others) accompanied themselves on instruments, though the a'cappella vocals were just as wonderful!...

Incredibly moving, intimate performance exploring growing through grief, the resilience of the human spirit and healing power of community. Marissa's inherent warmth makes her feel like an old friend and her vulnerability while discussing OCD and its profound effects on her life was powerful and illuminating. I laughed, cried and felt deeply alive. Highly recommend!...
