Standing for 45 years, Theatre of NOTE is a black box theatre landmark in the heart of Hollywood, situated just south of Hollywood Boulevard on Cahuenga. Theatre of NOTE is one of the oldest Los Angeles Theatre institutions. Founded in 1981, Theatre of NOTE champions new and provocative theatre and has produced 451 productions since opening.

 

The venue is a highly customizable black box theatre, with a maximum seated audience capacity of 42. The theatre itself is 20 feet 8 inches wide by 39 feet 9 inches deep and has a wheelchair accessible bathroom and seating.

 

The theatre is equipped with an ETC Nomad running 30 lights and in-house QLAB Computer running into a Yamaha MG 166c 16 track Mixing Board that can support musical performance and microphones.

 

Theatre of NOTE is run and maintained by its self-titled company, a non-profit organization that stagedives the arena of theatre arts. Theatre of NOTE’s ensemble-based organization is dedicated to providing a creative environment in which to collaborate and develop maverick theatre.
