Valerie Renee Hager-Slavin is a director, performer, and creator of Soulletting. Her track record spans numerous productions in New York and Los Angeles, alongside six internationally toured solo shows co-written with her husband, writer Scott Slavin (including Off-Broadway at 59E59 and The Barrow Group). Featured in The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, and Cosmopolitan, Valerie is also the creator of the hit solo show Naked in Alaska (Pick of the Fringe at Edinburgh; Best Solo Show at NY Fringe; TV pilot adaptation). Melding theater expertise with her Soulletting framework, she provides artists with the tools needed to make their work resonate from the inside out, helping performers tap into the wild, honest, and vulnerable essence of their stories.
