Naomi Bennett

Naomi Bennett is a director, clown, drag queen, and movement artist from Cambridge, MA. Currently an MFA student at CSULA in TV, Film, and Theatre, Miss Bennett is also a graduate of the Professional Track Circus program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, certified yoga instructor, and has studied clowning, mime, and mask in Venice, Paris, and Montreal. She is a former cast member of the gender-bending drag show TraniWreck, co-founder and former member of The Grindhouse Marionettes. Miss Bennett collaborates with performers, writers, and designers to creates original theater-dance performance pieces. Recent directing credits include “Tearing the World Apart”, nominated for best Dance and Physical Comedy Performance at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival; “Searching for Molly Pye . . .”, exploring death, grief, and childhood memories; and “pool”, exploring artistic jealousy, resentment, and being present in the face of tragedy.
