Jim Loucks
Solo Performer- “Cemetery Golf”
Performer and playwright Jim Loucks began his theatre career in summer stock at the Highlands Playhouse in North Carolina. After earning an MFA in Acting at the University of Georgia, Jim moved to Los Angeles where he has appeared in several plays and independent films. He has performed “Cemetery Golf” at The Drilling Company, United Solo Theatre Festival and 78th Street Theatre Lab in New York City; Beyond Baroque and The Electric Lodge in Venice, CA; the Hudson Opera House in Hudson, NY; SoloFest at the Filling Station in Albuquerque, NM; the Boulder International Fringe Festival, the Oahu Fringe Festival and the Cincinnati Fringe Festival (where he received a Citybeat “Critic’s Pick”). He also performed the show at Windward School in Los Angeles, where he held a workshop with the students on writing their own personal monologues. He is currently working on his next solo show.
