Peter Colley
Peter Colley’s Plays and musicals have been produced in 30 countries. Awards: Humanitas Award for screenwriting; semi-finalist Eugene O’Neill Awards; winner 2010 New American Play Award, winner 2009 New Zealand NAPTA award. “CAGNEY” winner Carbonell Award; Off-Broadway: 2015: York Theatre, (NY Theatre Guide Award: “Top Five Shows”). 2016: transfer to Westside Theatre (NY) where it celebrated its 500th performance in 2017. Nominations: OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE, DRAMA DESK, OFF-BROADWAY ALLIANCE AWARD, winner ASTAIRE AWARD. His plays have been translated into eight languages – I’LL BE BACK BEFORE MIDNIGHT was called “the most produced Canadian play ever” by the Toronto Globe & Mail and the Toronto Star called him: “Canada’s Master of Mayhem”. For writing “THE WAR SHOW”, The Record called Peter: “a national treasure”. His plays have been published by Samuel French Inc., (New York and London), Baker’s Plays, Macmillans, and Simon & Pierre.
