Z oom has had solo shows in Soho, New York, including “Here’s Looking at You” (2001), and was invited to participate in a group show at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art titled “PhotoGENEsis: Opus 2: Artists’ Response to the Genetic Information Age” (2002-03). His experiments in ephemera and memory reconstruction include “Oh, Brazil!” (2005-07), “Arrhythmia Variations” (2008-09), and “Casting” (2010). “Pine Cones and Plaster” (2011-2016) is a series of works on canvas that include oil paint, fabric, plaster, and natural materials. Magdalena Emar’s I WANNA BE ROBERT DE NIRO is his first performance work.
