Lito Triantafyllidou

Originally from Greece, Lyto Triantafyllidou is a theatre director based in New York who is interested in developing theatre that creates an original dialogue with our reality. She does this through collaborating with authors on new plays, researching and revitalizing under-represented extant works from the global stage and adapting classical material. Lyto graduated from the MFA Directing program at The New School for Drama and holds a BA degree (directing major) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Fines Arts, School for Drama. She has presented work in different festivals and platforms in New York and in Greece. Her latest directing projects include: Mistero Buffo by Dario Fo and Miss Margarida’s Way by Roberto Athayde. Currently, Lyto is the Director in Resident at the Greek Cultural Center (NY), where she develops work that comments on the present political situation in Greece and its implications on the Greek America community.
