Don Waterski Goes Up Nort'

A super adventure through the woods! A very clever show built around a game of bingo. Very fun reveals and gags that often times reminded me of being on a Disneyland ride or something. It captured a comedic whimsey! ... full review

Ronnie Brixton - The Best of British Boxing

A really impressively told story! A neat use of modern press-type tropes to build to the shows greater reveal. Ronnie deals with the evolution of himself and we grow with him as we begin to understand the questions he's been struggling with himself. ... full review

Black When I Was A Boy

Wow, what a show! Such an incredibly moving and heartbreaking story. The specificity of the story telling takes you through Cooper's life as he recounts the way race impacted his childhood. ... full review

Yellow Wallpaper

Of the number of fringe shows I've seen this year, this is the easily the most ambitious narrative. Watching the main character's descent into madness was fascinating and managed to be done in a way that was both entertaining and touching.... full review

STAGES: Girl Meets Boy, Boy Meets Boy, Girl Meets Drink

Sometimes funny, sometimes emotional and poignant, but always gripping. A fresh version of "love lost" told through a very fun lounge act. The lead takes us on a journey of her past relationship through a narrative supported by various musical numbers all cleverly framed through a drinking game. We laugh with her, we cry with her, and of course, we listen to some beautiful music. ... full review

Drunk Bible Stories

Such a fun night! The three hosts held the stage and carried the show confidently. They found jokes in anything and everything and managed to make it look effortless! From the first moment, they establish a loose and almost "anything goes" atmosphere giving the audience a hint at what kind of show this is going to be and giving them permission to relax and have fun, then it completely delivers on what it promises. ... full review

Set against a city in turmoil, a couple deals with a crisis both in the moment and in the greater course of their relationship. Deeply emotional with beautifully committed performances. ... full review

Best Friend

A tremendously brave effort to humanize and criticize a very real and growing element in our culture. An "unwoke" voice, personified by a down on his luck gamer was a timely vessel for a world in which males are struggling a little too much to understand their place in this rapidly changing social landscape. Despite the heavy subject, I found myself laughing through much of the play until it became real... then it challenges you. ... full review

White People Drinking

Relentless and thought-provoking. It challenges the audience to lean into the conversation topics that we'd never enter into even with our best friends. Thoroughly impressed and enjoyed the experience. Still don't know if I'd bring any of this up at my next dinner party, but quite enjoyed the different voices crossing various lines labeled taboo. ... full review
