What makes this show such a pleasure to watch is that it shouldn't be this good. I knew that it would be in capable hands, having seen the work of The Porters of Hellsgate Theatre Company before, but in the hands of director and adaptor Gus Krieger, not a moment is wasted on stage. A masterful retelling of the life of an artist. The lead actor portraying Chris Burden did so with a confidence and skill level rarely seen of the Los Angeles stage. Capturing the audience with a scene that’s sure to make you hold your breathe from the first moment, I think this piece has the potential to be developed for the broadway stage.... full review
