It was a great little fringe show. It's worth going to if you are trying to fit in as much theater as possible. I'm also a fan of any artist willing to put up a work that may upset people by not taking a strong political stance and trying to explore both sides of the aisle. ... full review

What makes this show such a pleasure to watch is that it shouldn't be this good. I knew that it would be in capable hands, having seen the work of The Porters of Hellsgate Theatre Company before, but in the hands of director and adaptor Gus Krieger, not a moment is wasted on stage. Every character was meticulously crafted and must have received total support and unwavering encouragement in their choices. Huzzah for such great direction by Krieger! ... full review

A Beast/A Burden

A masterful retelling of the life of an artist. The lead actor portraying Chris Burden did so with a confidence and skill level rarely seen of the Los Angeles stage. Capturing the audience with a scene that’s sure to make you hold your breathe from the first moment, I think this piece has the potential to be developed for the broadway stage.... full review
