Empathy Party

I loved this show for many reasons and one is because it is a Dominican man going against machismo culture and standing up for a new way of being. Of Being with your feelings. Representing Gentle Masculinity. I especially loved when Ariel unveiled a picture of himself as a 10-year-old and engaged in a poignant dialogue with his younger self throughout the show. One of many deeply moving and contemplative moments that unfolded throughout the performance. I wish I could see this again!... full review

Congratulations to Ty on bringing mental health theatre to the forefront of the stage. The Sad Life of a Happy Man demonstrates skillful writing and a performance that sheds light on the internal struggles that many individuals conceal and are afraid to share due to shame. This work effectively portrays the challenges of navigating through darkness and searching for a way out. Something many of us can relate to. The portrayal of one man embodying multiple versions of himself not only captivated t... full review

Johnny's performance had me enthralled. The way he weaves his stories and connects with the audience gives you the sensation of embarking on a shared voyage through his life with him. With absolute charm, Johnny effortlessly invites you into his realm, evoking the myriad of emotions that accompany venturing into uncharted territories. He serves as a poignant reminder of the highs and lows that come with embracing an unfamiliar path.... full review

School is in session and your teacher Pamela makes it clear she is not available for small talk or bullshit- WHICH I LOVE! Pamela's interactive show skillfully combines intelligent deconstruction of behaviors that are programmed into us, lessons on how we can stop participating in the b.s., a lesson on compassion, and moments of dark humor. She draws the audience in immediately with what her human experience has been all while making us laugh. Prepare yourself for an enlightening experience... full review

Homeless Romantic

Really enjoyed the show! I’m in awe of Tony as a human and a performer. His story is heartbreaking and yet he does a good job of making sure the audience laughs and knows that even though he has PTSD from being homeless he also wants to talk about his experience and share what he has learned. I recommend this show and I also recommend coming with questions to ask Tony about his homelessness when he has his interactive Q&A with the audience. Your curiosity helps fuel the show!... full review

Well told and well acted authentic stories from South Asian Womxn that shined light on each of the actors personal experiences including one from a non-hetero storyteller & performer- Thank you for that!! I love how detailed each of them were with their stories and in so many ways that specificity made it relatable. One of my favorite moments was the woman who described how vaginal hair can get stuck on maxi pads! I knew I wasn’t alone and yet was totally validated hearing her give voice to this ... full review
