Mindy Copeland

Mindy Millard Copeland was a featured soloist in the international tour of Caution Men At Work: Tap! in mainland China and a featured member of Rhapsody in Taps where she has performed the choreography of Linda Sohl-Ellison, Gregory Hines, Foster Johnson, Fred Strickler, Sam Weber and Brenda Bufalino. Mindy is the co-artistic director of Tap Overload, a tap dance production company, and is part of the YouTube Masters of American Tap Dance education video series. Mindy appeared in the short film Tap Heat, starring Arthur Duncan and Jason Samuels Smith, where she performed choreography by Danny Daniels. She also danced on the 2003 Jerry Lewis Telethon live national television broadcast in an Emmy-winning tribute to Gregory Hines where she shared the stage with Fayard Nicholas of the legendary Nicholas Brothers. Mindy has also choreographed for and appeared on Zhejiang Television’s China Dream Show and Spain’s Cuatro Network’s Extremo Urbano. Recently, she appeared alongside her husband Gabe Copeland in the Big Band Musical Revue show, Swing, at the Encore Dinner Theatre and Club, the Downey Civic Light Opera’s Cole show and KIN dance company’s production Down Around Brown Town at the El Portal Monroe Forum Theatre in North Hollywood.
