Marlene Nichols

Marlene Nichols (www.MarleneNichols.com) is an international writer and performer exploring the dramas of love, memorial, and technology through her fearlessly seductive characters.

Her current project, The Ice-Cream Desert, directed by Alexis Macnab with a soundscape by Dr. Karen Power, will premiere in Berlin, 2015.

She can be seen in the upcoming film Trouble Sleeping (2015) or heard on commercials for American Girl. Original plays include: Dress Kiss Me; Just Back from Dreaming; Rum Boogie; No Change Given; and The Airport.

She’s received grants from The Looking Glass Theater (NYC) and the Fantasy Fountain Fund (Paris) with residencies at White Oak Plantation (Florida), LaMama Umbria (Italy), The Arctic Circle (Svalbard), and Earthdance (Massachusetts).

With degrees from The American University of Paris and The California Institute of the Arts she knows just enough to be dangerous. Coffee, Tea or Me is not her first existential crisis but thanks to her partners in crime, Les Kurkendaal and Kymberly Harris, it’s certainly been the most fun.
