Born and raised in Los Angeles, the product of Scotch/Irish and Fijian/Pakastani parents, her influences and style reflect her unique, yet eclectic versatile style. She has been compared to vocalist legends before her time: Billie Holiday, Etta James, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner and Judy Garland.
